Tessa Husband
Trainer in Training
Tessa Husband has been riding and competing for as long as she can remember—starting before she could even walk. Horses have always been a part of her life, but it wasn’t until she found her heart horse, Annabelle, that she truly gained the confidence and drive to excel in the sport. She has achieved numerous wins and championships in hunters, equitation, and jumpers up to the 1.25m level. Among her proudest accomplishments are qualifying for Nationals three years in a row for both hunt seat and dressage, and placing second in the Future Intermediate division in 2023.
Over the years, Tessa has competed at many prestigious venues including WEC Ocala, WEC Ohio, Traverse City, and Tryon, and has earned invitations to Nationals in Las Vegas. In 2024, instead of competing, she spent three months in Florida as a working student with Will Baker and Erin McCabe. During this time, she gained invaluable experience riding and showing on the WEC Ocala circuit, working alongside top riders and learning the dedication it takes to run a successful barn.
In addition to her success in the show ring, Tessa has extensive experience training young and off-the-track Thoroughbreds. She has personally brought along her current horse from green to competing in the .90m jumpers and 15–17 equitation at A-rated shows. She is also developing him into a promising dressage horse, furthering her passion for the discipline in recent years. Tessa has participated in multiple clinics with top dressage trainers and judges, including Sarah Geike and Jennifer Conour, and has been recognized for her talent and dedication by judges and professionals throughout her career.
With her strong foundation, proven show record, and deep love for horses, Tessa is excited to share her knowledge and experience with future students and clients.
